Having a little fun with faux bleach and one layer cards!
metamorphis (faux bleach)
This is an easy technique, though it takes a little bit of time. Choose your favorite stamp- I used the Swallowtail from Stampin’ Up. Ink it up with Versamark, and embossing powder – I prefer to use clear or white. Once heated, take your aqua painter and reinker and gently wash color over the image – be careful not to saturate the paper. When its dry, I sponged a little more color onto the butterfly, especially in the middle and towards the edges of the wings (you might be able to see that in the lower left of the pic). Next, take your iron and some newspaper OR brown paper bag. You’ll want to place the paper over the stamped card – and hold the iron over it. You want to get the paper hot enough to melt the e.p. – it will stick to the brown paper or newsprint. Gently peel back the paper and relocate the paper to clean surface, repeat till its off your card and onto your brown paper or newsprint. Then add your sentiment – you can heat emboss that if you wish.
